Wahine Bamboo

Description:

Cruiser WAHINE Ultra Lite Bamboo Series

Only 23.5 pounds! The beautiful Cruiser WAHINE Bamboo 10'2" offers ease of use for beginners, performance for intermediate to expert and fun for everyone! With ample width, it is stable for flat water beginners, first time surfers or yoga. Shaped to offer the best performance in real world conditions - lakes, rivers and small to medium ocean surf! The shapes optimize flat water glide and tracking.

Cruiser SUP's Ultra-Lite Bamboo/Epoxy line continues the refinement of EPS foam sandwich/composite construction. Our testing has found the bamboo veneer deck provides the lightest, strongest, least expensive skin to complement our water-tight Ultra-Lite Closed-Cell EPS cores. We have added a classic gloss resin finish - no more paint chipping.

We achieved the best combination of great looks, durability and light weight. Cruiser Ultra-Lite Bamboo best suits the needs of 2014 performance or recreational stand up paddle boarders.

Reviewer: Duane DiCarlo from Fort Worth Texas
Have not been able to use the board yet cuz it's just too darn cold here. But we are excited. Board looks great. Every purchase I have made from you has been perfect. Good price on the board as well. I highly reccomend your company.

Exceptional Customer Service January 9, 2015
Reviewer: Dave from York Springs, PA
It is refreshing to know that real customer service still exist and Glenn and the crew at Paddleboard Direct display it.  While  experienced kayakers, we are new to paddleboarding so I started out doing online research.  I had narrowed my choices to a few when I called Glenn for some insight.  He was quite helpful in talking me through the options and trade-offs and I decided on the Wahine Ultra-Lite Bamboo  for my athletic wife (Christmas present).  Shipping went without a glitch.  Double boxed, wrapped in bubble wrap.  Took 15 minutes to unpack  and inspect.  Received in perfect condition.   The board bag was better than I expected and I am pleased with that as well.
Opted for the free paddle primarily because of adjustability.  For free it was great, but will experiment in coming months with "correct" length and will likely upgrade to a higher end fixed length paddle.
Great experience with the purchase.  Waiting for some warmer weather to give the board a try.

Nice Board September 4, 2014
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Bright's Grove, Ontario
I have had the summer to assess this board (mine is the 10'2" board), and I am pleased with my purchase. I'm relatively new to paddleboarding, so I generally stick to quieter days. Trying to stand up in 3 foot waves resulted in a quick dunking both times I attempted it, although I had fun "surfing" the board on my knees!  A friend who has her own paddleboard of a different make tried mine and loved it. I'm happy that it's lightweight, although it is still a chore to carry it any distance. I'm female, in my sixties, 5'3" tall, and about 120 lbs. I'm reasonably fit, but carrying the board two blocks to the lake is more than I care for, even with a "Schlepper SUP Sling Carry Strap",  and I ended up leaving it with a friend who has lake frontage, for the convenience. The only concern I have is that I worry about damaging such a pretty board, so I've been extra careful handling it!
