The Stand Up 10 is designed to be very stable, and very easy to paddle as soon as you step onto it the first time. It tracks amazingly well (more like a 12' board), so even beginners without a "J Stroke" can paddle it easily.
It's also designed to be a very dry ride, so it can be used in areas with warm air, and cold water. It's short length also means its easy to transport and store. While it is not intended to be a surfing board, it is certainly capable of surfing easy waves for fun.
Ron House worked closely with surf legend Laird Hamilton to shape the 12'1". The 12'1" is a very high volume board with a wide design and flat bottom for stability. The tail is pulled in for maneuverability. Hard rail edges for gliding and cruising performance.
